Short English how-tos for linking common mail providers to 0rd Mail Archive (0rd.eu) via IMAP.
0rd archives mail by connecting over IMAP with SSL/TLS (typically port 993). There is no “Sign in with Google / Microsoft” OAuth button in the product today — you enter IMAP host, port, username, and password (often an app password) in Archive → Connect IMAP archive.
| Tutorial | Provider | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Connect Gmail | Gmail / Google Workspace | IMAP on + app password (2-Step Verification) |
| Connect Outlook / Hotmail | Outlook.com, Hotmail, live.com, personal Microsoft 365 | App password; work tenants may block IMAP |
| Proton Mail | Proton Mail | Not a direct remote-IMAP fit — Bridge is local-only |
| Connect iCloud | iCloud Mail | Apple app-specific password |
| Connect Yahoo | Yahoo Mail | App password |
| Connect Fastmail | Fastmail | App password recommended |
| Generic IMAP | Any IMAP host | Catch-all checklist |
Before you start
- Create and sign in to your 0rd account at 0rd.eu/archive.
- Open Archive.
- Under Connect IMAP archive, fill in:
- IMAP host - IMAP port (default 993) - IMAP username (usually your full email address) - IMAP password (often an app password — not your everyday login)
- Choose Start archiving.
Field labels above match the Archive connect form (Connect IMAP archive, IMAP host, IMAP port, IMAP username, IMAP password, Start archiving).
Credentials for ongoing sync are handled by the archive engine (see the Privacy statement). Prefer app passwords or provider tokens over your main account password whenever the provider offers them.
